People and cameras
I find it much easier to be behind the camera. When I am in-front of it I feel like I have to pose or somehow try and be the subject of the photograph. When behind I feel like I have total control if something interests me then I can shoot it if not I don’t have to even look at it. I am the one that decides what is shown in the image and what doesn’t make the image. I really feel that is why it is much easier to behind the camera you are the one in control and you are the one that makes all the decisions.

photo essay

I have always been really interested in what my parents did for work, where did they go every day when they left the house. As I got older I got to go and see my dad at work and learn about what he did, then my mom left her job and went back to school to become nurse. I never got to see her at work and so I just imagined what she did. I decided to find out what her job entails and that is what I intend to document my mother work her average day.

Ethics

I really enjoyed the article by Paul Martin Lester I really only had a few objections to the places he has said are ok and not ok, my first is that I think it should be unrestricted to take pictures in government buildings people should be allowed to photograph the actions of the government without restriction so as to open up the actions of those governments or simply to document the things that are happening with a specific government, I also have to find fault with the fact that you can shoot from any public street into another person’s home windows, I feel that is just such an invasion of a person privacy I cannot believe that a court would say that it is ok to shoot a person in their own home when they feel like they should be secure in their actions there.

Document Proposal

One of the things that gives me the most joy in life is to ride motorcycles and look and the construction of different motorcycles both new and old motorcycles. I love to see the advances of the technology and how far we have come from a basic paddle bike with a small one cylinder motor to the new bike with two way communication systems, CD changers, radios and other creature comforts. This is what I would like to go out and document the motorcycle just for the seer beauty of this truly amazing machine.

Lights

I really love when the sun is either rising in the mornings or setting in the evenings because of the way that it looks like the light rays are stretching out across the ground or water with really long shadows, or long orange streaks across the water. I think that I enjoy this time the most because I spend a lot of my time in the summer either out camping or near a lake and it always seems so peaceful with everything beginning to quiet down for the night and the sky slowly changing from a bright blue color to a deep orange or red color with often purple streaks going across the bottoms of the clouds.
